High-Performance Multifilament & Specialty Yarns
Quantum designs and manufactures multifilament and specialty yarns engineered to enhance comfort, aesthetics, and mechanical performance across woven fabrics and technical textile systems. Unlike commodity yarn suppliers, Quantum develops yarns as part of an integrated material system—aligned with downstream weaving, finishing, and end-use performance requirements.
Many of the yarns we produce are engineered specifically for Quantum fabrics, enabling performance characteristics that are difficult or impossible to replicate with off-the-shelf yarns.

Yarn Types & Polymer Options
Quantum manufactures a wide range of multifilament and specialty yarns, including:
- Polyester
- Nylon
- Polypropylene
- Elastomeric yarn systems
- Single-component and bi-component constructions
We support both standard and application-specific polymer formulations depending on performance, durability, and environmental requirements.
Performance Attributes
Our multifilament yarns can be engineered to deliver:
- Enhanced comfort and hand feel
- Controlled elongation and recovery
- Abrasion resistance
- Color consistency
- Structural stability in woven constructions
These yarns are commonly used in the weft direction of Quantum’s QS2™ suspension fabrics, where they contribute comfort, breathability, color, and design flexibility.
Processing Capabilities
Quantum’s in-house yarn processing capabilities include:
- Air-jet texturing
- Twisting
- Custom deniers and constructions
- Specialty finishes
Because extrusion and processing are performed internally, we can rapidly iterate yarn designs during development.

Color & MOQ Flexibility
- Over 30 standard colors available
- Custom solution-dyed colors available
- Significantly lower MOQs than commodity yarn suppliersy
This flexibility supports faster prototyping and reduced inventory risk.

Applications
- Seating suspension fabrics
- Technical woven textiles
- Industrial and filtration fabrics
- Custom-developed textile systems

Why Quantum Yarns
- Vertically integrated extrusion and processing
- Custom-engineered, not catalog-driven
- Domestic manufacturing (USA)
- Designed to perform within complete fabric systems
